Cotswold Kitchen | Sherston

This wonderful stylish kitchen makes a real statement in a gorgeous Cotswold home. Large, full height crittall windows and a vast rooflight lantern flood the room with light, allowing the dramatic dark grey and black colour scheme.

The generously proportioned island incorporates a number of functional and sophisticated appliances, including a handmade herb sink set into the centre of the island, which brings the kitchen to life with green living herbs and plants.

The main wall is made up from a combination of low units, full height tower units, and a stylised random grid of open and closed wall hung boxes. The layered depths, materials and textures add drama and interest - from dark grey and black textured surfaces, to antique silvered mirror glass and hand-laid real wood veneers. The main kitchen wall is even capped off with a sumptuous day bed, with built in storage underneath.

This kitchen is truly one of a kind.

Orangery Renovation | Mells

This kitchen was relocated from what was a small, dark room within a traditional farmhouse into this stunning light filled Orangery – becoming the destination point and elevating the kitchen to the most celebrated room of the house.

The original flagstone flooring and raw oak beams gives the space tremendous character, while the connection to the beautiful orchard garden beyond creates a calm, yet sophisticated interior connected to nature. The colour and material palette gently echoes the exterior greenscape.

Our stand-alone 20|20 kitchen sits elegantly in this space. We opted for an open galley style kitchen layout optimised for entertaining, which lends itself to the linear proportion of the Orangery and optimises the views of the garden. Both the island and wall run were designed to be low level, with no tall units within the main kitchen. This creates an even greater sense of space, and doesn’t detract from the beautiful vaulted ceiling. The island and sink run are perfectly centred with the south facing terrace doors.

Directly adjacent to the kitchen is a compact and functional Pantry area which encompassed a freestanding fridge freezer and bespoke built in larder cupboards.

The interiors of the kitchen cabinets were carefully considered to create a minimal, yet highly functional configuration. This includes a bespoke oak slatted wine drawer – perfect for displaying ambient bottles.

This kitchen is a joy to be in.

Chapel Cottage | Gloucestershire

We developed a refreshing design evolution with this magnificent Chapel Cottage renovation project in South Gloucestershire.

The large bank of tall units is a key feature of the space - we successfully managed to reduce the visual weight of this run by introducing a split material pallet of black resin decor, combined with hand-selected smoked oak. Additionally, the part-open pantry unit adds a feeling of depth using polished ‘Sahara Noir’ backlit marble.

The freestanding island packs a big punch with tarnished brass drawer fronts and surrounding smoked oak & stone framing. Our intention was for the island to embrace a subtle retro aesthetic, and to stand out from the accompanying cabinetry as a central focal point within the room.

The island worksurface incorporates an accessorized channel behind the Bora hob. This trendy design feature includes bottle holders, a colander and rotating power sockets with USB - alternatives include digital weighing scales, Bluetooth speaker and wireless phone charger.

Classic Contemporary | Bristol

Shortly after the launch of our 20|20 freestanding system, we were approached to design this beautiful kitchen for a major renovation of a Victorian property in Redland, Bristol.

We were keen to emphasise that the corner units did not need to physically adjoin (as would be the case in a conventional ‘L’ shaped layout).  The gap between the sink run and tower unit not only provides a greater sense of spaciousness, but functions excellently and defines the individual kitchen elements.

One of the standout features is the handmade mirror splash back which was crafted using a technique called Verre églomisé; this involves the application of meticulously gilding pieces of square gold leaf to the rear of the glass before it’s coloured and randomly distressed to create a highly distinctive surface design.

Victorian Hybrid | Bath

We were asked to design a kitchen that bridged the styles of contemporary and shaker for a Victorian property in Bath. We achieved this by starting with a relatively contemporary footprint, and then adding some more classic features such as the peninsula style island with seating niche, open bookcase and Belfast sink. This was integrated with a bar area built into the existing chimney breast and a bank of tower units including freestanding Fisher & Paykel fridge and Miele ovens.

The choice of finishes worked beautifully with the surrounding architecture. A very dark blue was combined with Calacatta worktops and natural oak veneer.

The main worktop run was over depth to allow for a raised ledge section using mitred stone. This not only functions as a splashback, but also creates an additional shelf for bottles and ornaments.

The bar area includes a decorative antique mirror splash back and up/down lit floating shelf.

Sophisticated Functionality | Minety

We worked closely with our client to develop this wonderfully sophisticated installation in Minety.  The vast rear storage wall boosts an impressive array of appliances including the Gaggenau oven stacks, Gaggenau 76cm fridge, along with a Miele 76cm fridge freezer.

A large floating cabinet was incorporated to enhance the kitchen storage capacity.  This piece was deliberately designed to contrast with the main kitchen units and provide a more furniture-like appearance.  The cabinet was meticulously hand veneered in straight-grained Paldao and included Amazonico marble backing to visually link it with that of the oven niche.

The island stands on our double-hoop leg design.  Crafted using a steel core which is over laminated with birch ply before being spray lacquered in dark grey.  We set the leg hoops wide apart, towards each end of the island which achieves an impressive visual stance. However this is not without its complexities and we have worked hard to engineer a hidden steel frame system that allows for such a span, without the island bowing in the centre and without the need for additional central supports.

Stables Kitchen | Leigh

A bold and stylish kitchen taking centre stage in the heart of this sensitively converted Old Stables. The characterful long space helped inform the design from the outset.

At the gable end of the room, we incorporated our 20|20 freestanding tower run for a dramatic dark back drop to the kitchen. This is combined with a hybrid style L-shaped layout with a peninsular island that provides a functional and sociable family space.

A carefully considered material arrangement of bold black and grey resin fronts – accentuated with knurled brass and gunmetal handles, Beton worktops, and a rustic character oak to add real warmth. This, combined with the clean white vaulted ceiling, polished concrete floors and crittal style windows, gives the interior a contemporary flair.

Freestanding Kitchen | Sussex

Our 20|20 collection sits beautifully within this contemporary designer home near Wadhurst, Sussex.

The main wall run lies parallel with the generous island, creating a functional and sociable kitchen workspace. Whilst the tall freestanding modules stand elegantly within an alcove – housing several appliances and incorporating a gorgeous open pantry unit, creating a perfect nook for a coffee and drinks cabinet. Antique mirror glass and rustic character oak add a luxury touch to the kitchen finishes.

A striking material palette of burnt red and matt black echoes the charred timber cladding and dark zinc roof of the exterior. The kitchen area spills out onto a natural swimming pool with stepped terracing and planting – with large glazed doors allowing the kitchen to connect to the outdoor space.

Our signature design stands on beautifully crafted legs, creating an elegant, lightweight appearance that makes a room feel more spacious and dynamic.

Split / Floating Kitchen | Claverton, Bath

This project was a kitchen re-fit. Previously set out in a classic ‘L’ shaped configuration, we were keen to move away from the heavy aesthetic and introduce a more dynamic layout whereby each run of units stood individually. This has transformed the kitchen into a visually engaging space that oozes style and quality. The design scheme is broken down into three key elements; a full height tower wall (housing state of the art appliances and a pantry cupboard), a central island, and a floating cantilevered wall unit.

The cantilevered units, while large and practical, give the room an even greater feeling of lightness.

The contrasting warmth of the exotic Paldao veneer interacts with the harder nature of the crisp white lacquered fronts and subtly textured surfaces to give this kitchen a timeless elegance.

The rear tower wall incorporates a generous, custom built double pantry which includes internal glass fronted larder drawers, stone worktop, and personalised shelving to house all the kitchen essentials within easy reach.

Lighting was a key design element. Concealed LED tape lights to accentuate the floating wall units and recessed lights within drawer units and cupboards, which illuminated once opened, gave this kitchen a luxury touch.

Crescent Kitchen | Bath

Set in a characterful basement floor of a Georgian crescent townhouse, this kitchen creates a fantastic impact. Elegantly simple in form, the beauty lies in the detailing of the high-quality materials.

The stunning monolithic island is seamlessly mitre joined and vein matched on 3 sides with Estatuario sintered stone. The sink is also fully clad in matching material to give the illusion of a solid mass of stone.

By contrast, the rear wall use dark, textured thermo-surface fronts to give a dramatic backdrop. The hob worktop is set within a niche, softly lit with concealed lighting. The custom-made, hand crafted splashback is a real art piece - antique mirror glass ‘Verre Églomisé’, intricately hand laid with 22ct. Moon Gold in the foreground and 7.2ct. White Gold behind.  The combination of these beautiful materials has resulted in a sophisticated and striking kitchen space.

London Townhouse | Highgate

A beautiful contemporary kitchen set in a stylish London Townhouse. Our client undertook a major renovation of a Victorian property to transform the living and kitchen into a flowing, open plan space.

The kitchen design was carefully considered to integrate effortlessly into the remodelled space. The kitchen island was built around a central column, allowing the kitchen to maintain its open plan feel while working around structural constraints.

Purpose built cupboards were built into the sloped alcove niche, conveniently housing all appliances inlcuding fridge freezer, ovens and laundry appliances.

By contrast, the sink unit and floating cupboards were designed to be more of a freestanding furniture piece, with a stunning Industrial sintered stone worktop and hand veneered Paldao adding warmth and character.

Industrial Kitchen | Wiltshire

Set within a stylish and quirky country barn, we designed this cool contemporary industrial style kitchen.

The split level, open plan kitchen / dining area also had a connection to the main living space making this the heart of the house.

Using our bespoke custom width cabinets we were able to create clean modern lines within a highly functional design. We kept an understated neutral colour palette and paid great attention to detail in selecting high quality, tactile finishes for this stylish contemporary kitchen.

We injected a touch of industrial flair with the inclusion of chic iron worktops and splash back that complement the Precast concrete work surface on the central island.

Classic Kitchen | Bath

Set in a stunning Georgian house, this sophisticated kitchen oozes style and elegance.

As part of our kitchen design, walls were slightly reconfigured to rationalise the space and create the optimal layout. Large openings to interconnecting rooms means this kitchen really sits in the heart of the home.  Layered depth storage gives interest to the main wall. With lift up panels, veneered pigeon hole shelves and high-level wall cupboards with feature vertical grooves, accentuating the tall ceilings.

The beautiful vintage antiqued mirror splashback gives a real elegance and perfectly complements the warm teal tones of the lacquer.

The island is raised off the floor with our signature bespoke veneered legs and is finished off with a characterful slab of solid wood, treated to create a vintage grey finish.

Modern Kitchen | Gloucestershire

This sleek kitchen is set within a unique, architect-designed house within the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside.

Timber glulam roof beams and exposed rustic brick walls create an interesting feature backdrop, so we wanted to keep the kitchen design minimally cool to not overpower the strong architectural features.

The generous island elongates and enhances the sense of space. We have also incorporated our bespoke and innovative concealed seating area at one end of the island run, designed in such a way that it’s not perceived from other angles.

Full height units are built in to a purpose made niche wall, with contrasting dark textured fronts to tone in with the grey sintered stone work surfaces. And a long floating open shelf in whitened oak to complement the use of timber throughout the scheme.

With the interesting light and shadows filtering through the generous glazed walls, this kitchen is a real haven of tranquility.
